Dr. Jerry Dotson, Pastor & Ph.D.

Dr. Jerry Dotson was born in Coeburn, Virginia. He attended Tomlinson College in Cleveland, Tennessee. While doing his work for his Master’s degree under the tutelage of Dr. Peter Wagner, Dr. Dotson realized that the real need in educating pastors was on the practical side of ministry. He completed his Doctoral degree with Cornerstone Graduate School and soon thereafter founded Kingsbury Bible College. The focus of the college has been on teaching pastors the practical application of biblical principles and church growth in an affordable, accessible modality.
Dr. Dotson has been in ministry for forty-eight years including thirty-two years as a senior pastor. He has served as the Practical and Advanced Education Director in Florida and Virginia with the Church of God of Prophecy. In this position, he has mentored over forty pastors to receive their degree. He has served on COGOP state boards planning church growth and pastoral training. He has been a district overseer and local pastor. He is an experienced speaker and researcher and has presented many of his studies on various biblical topics to the church body.
Jerry and his wife, Karen, have five wonderful children and three grandchildren. They make their home in Roanoke, Virginia, with their youngest son, John.
